New Patient Examination
A calm and comprehensive introduction to your oral health care.
Your first visit to our Dental Wellness Lounge is designed to be welcoming, unhurried, and informative. This appointment focuses on understanding your current oral health so we can support you with personalised, preventative care moving forward.
It is not a cosmetic or smile assessment, but a thorough dental health check that allows us to build a clear and accurate picture of your needs from the very beginning.
What Your First Examination Includes
Your New Patient Dental Health Examination includes all the elements of a routine check-up, with additional time and diagnostics to ensure nothing is overlooked.
During your visit, we will:
- Review your medical and dental history
- Discuss any symptoms or concerns you may have
- Examine your teeth, gums, and existing restorations
- Assess your gum health and overall oral condition
- Carry out a soft tissue and oral cancer screening
- Provide personalised preventative advice
This appointment is gentle, thorough, and focused on your wellbeing.
The Role of Initial X-Rays
As part of your first visit, we include baseline X-rays to allow for a complete and accurate assessment.
Some areas of the mouth cannot be fully evaluated by visual examination alone. X-rays help us to carefully check:
- Bone levels around the teeth
- Decay between teeth
- Decay beneath existing fillings
- Changes that may not yet be visible or causing discomfort
Taking these images early helps us detect concerns at a manageable stage and plan your care appropriately.
A Supportive, Patient-Led Approach
We understand that visiting a new dental practice can feel unfamiliar for some patients. Our team takes time to ensure you feel comfortable, listened to, and fully informed.
After your examination, we will calmly explain our findings and, if needed, discuss any recommended care. There is no pressure — only clear guidance and supportive advice.
Our Wellness Philosophy
This first appointment is about establishing a trusted starting point for your oral health. By understanding your current dental condition, we can help you maintain stability, prevent problems, and support your long-term wellbeing.
Our aim is for you to leave feeling reassured, informed, and confident in your care.
